Welcoming Sharona to The Bigger Picture Clinic.

I’m Sharona, an integrative counsellor with a lifelong curiosity about what people carry beneath the surface — the quiet worries, the unspoken conflicts, and the stories that shape how we see ourselves and each other. I’m drawn to the moments when someone finally feels safe enough to say the thing they haven’t been able to say, and I’ve spent more than two decades — as a researcher, teacher, mentor, and now counsellor — learning how to create that kind of space. My work is person-centred and judgment free. I believe you already hold more understanding of yourself than you think. My role is not to hand you answers, but to sit with you, and help you access what’s already there.

Who I work best with
I work with adolescents, adults and older people seeking a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where they can explore what’s shifting beneath the surface for them — perhaps the unsettled feeling of a life transition, the weight of anxiety, stress or grief, or the effects of trauma.

My clinical philosophy
I believe people already have what they need to grow — they just need the right conditions to find it. That belief shapes how I work: I’m not here to direct your life or hand you a script to follow, but to walk alongside you while you draw on your own strengths and judgment. What we focus on, and how quickly we move, is led by you, not by a fixed plan. The constant is the space itself — one where you can bring anything without fear of being judged, and where curiosity and compassion come before conclusions. Within that, I draw on a range of evidence-based methods, chosen and adapted to fit you specifically, because a one-size-fits-all approach rarely fits anyone well.

Our children don’t need us to rescue them from the

Our children don’t need us to rescue them from their emotions. They need us to be with them in their emotions.

But that can be incredibly hard.

Because when our child is overwhelmed, angry, anxious or heartbroken, it often awakens something in us too.

The part that wants to fix.
The part that can’t tolerate distress.
The part that learnt to stay busy, avoid, achieve, shut down or distract itself because that’s how it survived.

This is why parenting can feel so triggering.

Our children have a remarkable way of introducing us to the parts of ourselves we’ve spent years trying not to feel.

The work isn’t becoming the perfect parent. It’s getting curious about what shows up in you, so you can respond from presence instead of protection.

Our children don’t learn emotional regulation because we tell them what to do.

They learn it because someone stayed with them while they felt what they were feeling.

✨ Maybe the question isn’t, “How do I get my child to regulate?”

Maybe it’s, “What happens inside me when someone I love is in pain?”

Healing starts there.

You don’t need more advice.

You need somewhere to put down what you’ve been carrying.

Maybe you’ve been the one holding everything together lately. Looking after everyone else. Showing up. Keeping life moving.

From the outside, it might look like you’re coping.

Next Friday, we’re welcoming Leonor to The Bigger Picture Clinic, offering 90-minute Shiatsu treatments.

Shiatsu is a gentle Japanese form of bodywork that supports your nervous system, inviting the body to soften, unwind and settle. It can be a beautiful way to reconnect with yourself when stress, tension or overwhelm have become your normal.

This is for you if you:

• Feel like you’ve been carrying too much for too long.
• Are tired but can’t seem to switch off.
• Notice stress living in your body.
• Long for a moment to simply slow down.
• Need support, even if you don’t feel like talking.

Rest isn’t something you have to earn.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely burnt out before you receive care.

This is the first of what we hope will become a regular monthly offering at The Bigger Picture Clinic—another way of supporting people through the wisdom of the body, not just the mind.

The clinic is so excited to Welcome Samuel to the space.

My name is Samuel Thomas-Holland, a Hypnotherapy Past Life Practitioner with a deep under-
standing of reflective focused forgiveness.
The path that led me to my current compassionate awareness, has stemmed from the misunder-
stood experiences of my own disability of dyslexia.
I observe clients from a empathetic and grounded state of perspectives, often finding that the
person in front of me will reveal more then they expected due to my ability to listen leading to
more awareness, underlying the root causes and understanding the path of least resistance due
to the constant fear of not being heard appropriately in the environment of energy they are cur-
rently experiencing. This creates a more creative and less judgmental approach and can con-
tribute to the deeper relationships of finding the desired version of Self never thought possible.

their subconscious mind always had archived away in past life experiences.
The use of Somatic and Reiki energy intelligence rebalances and finds the trauma, nervous sys-
tem re-harmony and emotional stability respectively resulting in a significant alignment and calm-
ness of focus in every day interactions plus higher energy levels.
