Natasha Deak (Tash)

IFS, IFIO and Creative Arts Practitioner

WELCOME

I’m Tash, an Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Creative Arts Practitioner.

I work with people who feel caught in painful emotional or relational patterns, despite often being highly self-aware. One part longing for closeness, another needing distance. One part wanting certainty or control, while another feels overwhelmed, disconnected, ashamed, or afraid.

My work focuses on helping people understand and relate differently to the parts of themselves they usually judge, fear, avoid, or push away.

I believe the parts of ourselves we struggle with most are often the parts that have been trying the hardest to protect us.

Areas I Specialise In

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Relational trauma and attachment wounds
  • Emotional overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation
  • Identity, self-worth, and life transitions
  • Inner child and parts work
  • Somatic and trauma-informed work
  • Creative and expressive practices
  • Depth process-oriented work

Who I Work Best With

I work with individuals and couples wanting a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns they feel stuck in. I work best with people who are open to deeper self-exploration and understanding themselves beyond surface-level coping or symptom management.

My Clinical Philosophy

My approach is collaborative, creative, and grounded in a parts-based understanding of the psyche.

All of you is welcome here, including the parts you may judge, fear, hide, or push away. Rather than seeing these parts as something broken, we take the time to understand what they are protecting and how they learned to do their job.

Alongside Internal Family Systems (IFS), my work integrates somatic awareness, creative expression, and depth-oriented approaches that support emotional insight, self-understanding, and a more connected relationship with yourself.

Sometimes it can be hard to fully explain what’s happening internally through words alone. Creative and expressive approaches
can offer another way of exploring emotion, parts, patterns, and experiences that feel difficult to articulate.

Professional Background

I’m an Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Creative Arts Practitioner with a background in psychology, somatic and trauma-informed practice, creative therapies and movement.

Alongside private practice, I have experience facilitating therapeutic groups, psychoeducational workshops, and mental health support within community and therapeutic settings.

I am currently completing a Master of Mental Health (Art Therapy), and have additional training in IFIO couples therapy, somatic trauma work, yoga, dreamwork and health science.
